Just beyond the eThekwini Municipal boundary, to the West, lies the Mkhambathini Municipality and the areas of Camperdown and Umlaas Road. They are situated on the N3 corridor and most of the properties located close to the N3 are zoned industrial or logistics and have excellent freeway access.

The current upgrades to the N3, together with the  interchanges and service roads, are further enhancing accessibility.

Camperdown and Umlaas Rd have become a hub for vehicle transporters with the BIG 3 well established and others looking to join.

The Mkhambathini Municipality supports appropriate development and will do what they can to assist with logistics and industrial properties in Camperdown, making this a good area for investment.  There are a number of vacant Light Industrial or Logistics Sites already platformed and with services available.

Large distribution centres can be accomodated on various large platforms that are already approved for development. 

Excellent investment and development opportunities can be found in a number of farms and smallholdings that are being supported for rezoning to light industrial and logistics.

Camperdown offers a well established commercial node and a wide range of residential properties.
